Progress on the Bremen Compound
The Bremen Compound has the walls up on the new Church and is ready for the roof to be constructed. Our excitement grows as we see the structure nearing completion. It has been a long road since the earthquake two years ago but we are making progress.

For ten years Ricky has been going to Haiti..and each time he came back he would say you've got to go..each time I would say no..its not time...i cant leave my family now..or its to hot..I always had an excuse. one day Linda called and said that the mission needed a nurse because the nurse that was going mother was sick, and she probally wasn't going. I still said no.They looked everywhere..I knew I should speak up ,but pride gets in the way. After all I would be home safe, and have air condition and have american food.I was so determined not to go, I even commited myself to the bible school program.well little did I know God had bigger plans for me..when I told my minister I would do the bible school program he said great..but..The Lord had a talk with me..I went back to church and told out minister I was going to Haiti for a medical mission ..he smiled and said"i wondered when you were going to stop and listen to what he was telling you.l i told Ricky and Linda to get me a ticket.,They were so excited and i was so scared.I had heared all the stories about the country bing in a unrest state, and they were ready for a uprising. Now thats scary!
I had everyone praying for our saftey and I asked them to pray that God put his senior angels aound us not just one but as many as he could spare! On the flight I prayed that God would go before us and prepare a way for us..for us to show his love in what we do and say, and to keep us safe.I also asked for a sign..each time I looked out the window of the airplane i would see a small rainbow...God telling me i would be alright.need less to say our medical mission trip was a TRUE blessing..and yes i would do it again in a heart beat...I am ready to go! are you?

Why Haiti? I am asked this question over and over. So many other mission fields are less dangerous, less impoverished and easier. Why did you pick Haiti?
It is true that Haiti is one of the hardest mission fields but Jesus did not follow the easy path while He was on earth. His path took him to the poorest, most evil places where He felt the most need. After over 20 years in this mission, I can honestly say that the work done by the Lord through us has resulted in enormous blessings and a security of faith in Jesus Christ that could have only come from this experience. In Haiti, He is the only one on whom to rely. There is no human control that keeps you safe and healthy, it is truely God protecting and sustaining you. What an awsome, loving truth that reveals. Why Haiti? Because God picked it for me and I only want to be in His Will. I pray that there will be many more years of mission work for me in Haiti. Our Lord knows that there is much work to be done there before His second coming. Our founding missionary, Delores Parker gave her life for this mission in Haiti and I was present when she said," It was worh every minute to serve the Lord In Haiti." To this I can only say, "Amen , Thank You Father"

“But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Luke 18:16
